Southern California Edison (Edison) 2018 General Rate Case (GRC)

On September 1, 2016, Edison submitted its Application to the CPUC for approval of its 2018 - 2020 revenue requirement. Edison is seeking to increase its revenues over present rates by:

  • 2018: $222 million (4%)
  • 2019: Additional $533 million (9%) increase
  • 2020: Additional $570 million (9%) increase

ORA's Position

ORA is in the process of making a detailed analysis of Edison’s Application, and plans to investigate the utility’s requests regarding capital expenditures and 2018 operating costs. ORA is in general agreement regarding Edison’s proposed schedule, but recommends that the CPUC should schedule hearings in the proceeding.
